Samsung Galaxy Note 3 gets its Android 4.2.2 test firmware, too

Just recently we’ve told you about that KitKat test firmware for the Samsung Galaxy S4, and now we have SamMobile catching pretty much the same thing for the Galaxy Note 3.

The firmware version N9005XXUENA6 is made for the Note 3 marked as SM-N9005. It’s described as the final Android 4.2.2 KitKat test build, meaning that no features will be included or excluded in the future builds, except for few bug fixes and improvements.

Just like that was the case with the Galaxy S4, the Note 3 will also get revamped status bar with fancy lookin’ white (rather than green) icons. Performance has significantly been increased and benchmark scores are apparently just off the charts. Lockscreen got a camera shortcut and while playing music, the album art goes full screen [in lockscreen].

You can read more about this test firmware and even learn how to cram it on your Galaxy Note 3 from this page at SamMobile. Make sure to have the backups ready just in case something goes wrong. As we’ve said it before, you’re doing this at your own risk and you can’t hold IntoMobile responsible if you end-up with a bricked device…
