Good ol’ EVleaks can’t stop from amazing us. Their latest leak is all about Nokia’s still unannounced Android smartphone – Nokia X. According to their sources, this device — presuming it ever launches — will be a low-end affair with specs that include a 1GHz dual-core chip, 512MB of RAM, 4-inch WVGA screen, 1,500mAh battery, dual-SIM capability and 4GB of expandable storage (via microSD cards). Similarly to many other Nokia devices, the X will also be available in multiple colors, 6 of them to be more precise. Moreover, and this is where it gets really interesting, it will come with support for Nokia Store and other third party stores.

Hear that? Aside from working on its Android smartphone, the Finnish company has also developed its own Android app store. We can only guess how much people-hours Nokia has put into making this, but the fact that some resources have been invested in the underlying infrastructure could be a sad news for all the engineers who have hoped to see the Nokia X launching. Alas, as we’ve mentioned before, that may not happen with Microsoft most likely deciding to kill those plans and focus engineers’ attention elsewhere. Like making better Windows Phone devices. Alas, we still hope to see a Nokia Android smartphone at display in Barcelona. 😉
