We’ve heard it in the past – Xiaomi is working on a tablet. However, nothing has happened thus far, and we’re still waiting for the first big-screen device from “Apple of China.”

A new entry at the GFXbench database indicates that Xiaomi is still working on this project, suggesting this will be a rather mediocre device with a 9.2-inch 1280×820 pixels screen and Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz. In addition, it will have 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and a pair of cameras – 8-megapixel on the back, and 1.5-megapixel front-facing one.

Again, we’re not sure when this tablet will be out, but chances are it will debut in China with some other countries in Asia getting it soon afterwards. We’re not sure why Xiaomi has waited so much and can only imagine they’re working to make their MIUI software compatible with bigger screens. Hopefully, we’ll get all answers soon. Stay tuned…
