Not all Samsung models are made equal. We’ve seen Koreans getting a beefed-up versions of the Galaxy S III and S4, and now apparently the Galaxy Note 3 Neo is getting the same treatment. Instead of boasting Sammy’s own Exynos 5260 Hexa chip, the unit that will go on sale in Samsung’s backyard comes with a quad-core chip clocked at 2.36GHz. While we don’t have this in writing, we tend to think this is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800, which is often clocked at either 2.36GHz or 2.26GHz.

This, obviously updated, version will keep the rest of the specs unchanged. These include a 5.5-inch super AMOLED screen with 1280×720 pixels resolution (720p), 2GB of RAM, LTE connectivity support, dual cameras (8MP on the back, 2MP front-facing one), 16GB of expandable storage, 3,100 mAh battery and that faux-leather back cover.

And no, we’ve no idea whether this improved Note 3 Neo is also coming to other parts of the world…
