HTC will soon start rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update for the original HTC Butterfly. The firmware is in development as we speak and should be out in the next few weeks, or months.
This release, unfortunately, doesn’t include the brand-new Sense 6.0 but you still get a more-than-decent Sense 5.5 which, among other things, includes the ability to better manage BlinkFeed, or remove it from the homescreen if you fancy so.
In addition, Butterfly owners will also get the usual slew of bug fixes and performance improvements, as well as newer versions of HTC apps.
Meanwhile, the Butterfly S is slated to receive the latest goodies at some point in the second half of the year. Or a bit earlier, you never know…
