Samsung Gear Fit to get vertical display orientation support

When we first saw the Samsung Fit smart band, the device didn’t support vertical screen rotation. For some reason the Korean company forgot to add that capability, or it intentionally left that part for the later date.

Anyhow, the update has been issued and users will indeed be able to read information from that awesome AMOLED display both horizontally and vertically. In fact, vertical orientation makes much more sense, effectively turning the Fit into a full-blown smart watch. Or something of that sorts…

In case you wonder, the existence of this feature has been confirmed with an image above that was taken in an official Samsung store in South Korea. We would assume this capability will be rolled out to users all around the world shortly, though you never know – perhaps Sammy delays the update for another few days or weeks. We’ll see…
