Xiaomi is apparently looking to launch a successor to its Mi3 smartphone soon, GizChina is reporting. The rumor is that the upcoming Mi3S will not only include a better hardware under the hood but also a different design. We already like how the current Mi3 and we’re sure the next version will only look better.
When it comes to the hardware changes, it is said that this unit will pack a faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974Ac quad-core chip, 3GB of RAM, 8-megapixel front-facing camera and 4G LTE connectivity support. Rest of the specs will stay the same, all with the 5-inch full HD screen and 13-megapixel camera on the back. The 2K / QHD screen will have to wait for the Mi4.
Given how much we liked the Xiaomi Mi3, we can’t wait to try out this improved model, as well. With LTE connectivity support on board, this could be the device we’ve been waiting for; and also the model that will be offered in the Western hemisphere. We’ll see…
