Oppo announced a new mid-end phone in China – Oppo R1S. Specs wise, this device comes with a 5-inch 720p HD screen, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 quad-core chip clocked at 1.6GHz, 1GB of RAM, LTE connectivity support, 16GB of internal storage and a 2,140 mAh battery. There’s also a 13-megapixel camera on the back with LED flash, 6-element lens, f/2.0 aperture and 1/3-inch Sony IMX214 sensor; 5-megapixel camera is on the front of the phone.

As that’s usually the case with Oppo-made phones, the company’s own Color OS is running the show on top of the Android core, providing some nice enhancements, fancy UI and so on.

The Oppo R1S will be available for pre-order from the official Oppo online Store in China starting April 25. Users will be able to choose between Blue and White color models, each costing 2,498 Yuan which is the amount that translates into some $400.
