Moto G to get Drive Mode, too

For some reason, Motorola decided not to preload the Drive Mode app on the Moto G. The application that simplifies the UI for drivers to make sure they keep hands behind the wheel and eyes on the road ahead came pre-installed with the Moto X. And now we’re hearing that Moto G users will get it, as well.

During a live hangout session held this afternoon, Motorola’s Punit Soni confirmed this, saying: “We want to make sure that all the power of that platform shows up on Moto G. Making sure to enable Drive Mode is part of that. It’s not there yet, but it’s in our plan to be.”

Drive Mode is part of Motorola Assist, sensing when you’re driving to deliver the simplified user interface. It can make mistakes though, and you’ll have to manually override it when someone else is driving…
