The Verizon variant of the Samsung Galaxy S5 Developer Edition is out today, available for purchase from Sasmsung.com for a price of 599.99. That’s for the 16GB version of the GS5 Developer Edition, which is identical to the normal GS5 spec and design wise, but includes an unlocked bootloader for easy installation of custom ROMs and general tweaks. Aside from that, expect the GS5 Developer Edition to come pre-loaded with carrier bloatware and the like. (That shouldn’t be too hard to get rid of, though…)
The GS5 Developer Edition can’t be purchased at Verizon retail stores, so if you want it right now you’re outta luck. No biggie though, the device can be purchased directly from Samsung online, and could show up at your doorstep in a matter of days.
