Samsung may not be the only one working on a “Prime” version of its flagship device – HTC is apparently thinking between the same lines. If everything goes as planned, we’ll see the HTC One M8 Prime launching in the second half of the year.
According to G4Games’ report, this bad boy will pack a bigger 5.5-inch screen with 2K resolution — that’s 2560 x 1440 pixels — as well as a faster Snapdragon 805 chip. In addition, HTC will also cram full 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and Qualcomm’s latest MDM9x35 multimode modem, which was built on the 20 nm technology and which supports global carrier aggregation deployments to support download speeds of up to 300 Mbps.
But wait, there’s more – HTC will also beef-up its camera combo on the back, that should see the 18-megapixel camera complementing the 5MP Ultrapixel camera. Yup, this could easily be the best camera phone, ever.
Finally, we hope that all this will be packed in a familiar (for HTC) all-metal body, making for a that much sweeter deal. Sounds cool, don’t you think?
