Huawei announced two new phones, both of which could further help the Chinese firm cement its position as one of the world’s biggest handset makers.

First comes the Honor 3X Pro, which is made to compete with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note. This phablet comes with a 5.5-inch full HD screen, 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras, MediaTek’s MT6592 octa-core chip clocked at 1.7GHz, 2GB of RAM, DTS sound, 3,000 mAh battery, 16GB of internal storage and faux leather back a la Samsung Galaxy Note 3. There’s also dual-SIM capability so you can connect to two different networks at once.

The other device, Honor 3C, is slightly more portable boasting a 5-inch 720p HD screen, 8MP rear + 5MP front cameras, 1 or 2 GB of RAM, 8 or 16 GB of internal storage and a 2,300 mAh battery. It also has LTE connectivity support though that model, called Honor 3C 4G, is exclusive to China Telecom and its TD-LTE based network.
