The earlier rumored Vertu Signature Touch has been officially announced and unlike many other luxury phones, this one delivers both the hardware and premium materials.
Specs wise, Vertu’s baby comes with a sapphire glass-covered 4.7-inch full HD screen, 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core chip, LTE connectivity, 2,275 mAh battery, Qi wireless charging support, 2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. It also has a 13-megapixel main camera with dual-LED flash that is paired with a 2.1-megapixel front-facing shooter. To make sure you take great photos, Vertu has teamed up with Swedish photography powerhouse Hasselblad which has been in the camera business for quite some time.
The Signature Touch’s sound is also worth talking about; it is powered by Bang & Olufsen, the company that is well-known for its ultra-premium over-ear headsets and speakers.
Android 4.4 KitKat is running the show, and as part of the deal – users also get Vertu’s exclusive Concierge service. Plus, let’s not forget the mentioned premium materials that include Grade 5 titanium and a slew of leather options.
The price, you ask? It’s set at £6,750, the amount that translates into some $11,300. Yeah, this is hardly a smartphone made for everyone…
