AT&T Adds A Slew of Tablets to its Pre-Paid GoPhone Service

AT&T is allowing select tablet owners to use their data enabled devices on its GoPhone prepaid service. All customers will need to do is purchase a $9.99 SIM card kit and pick a monthly prepaid plan.

Here’s a list of compatible devices:

  • iPad 3
  • iPad Mini
  • Lenovo IdeaTab (A2107A
  • Pantech Element (P4100)
  • Asus K005
  • Asus (TF300TL) Transformer Pad
  • Google Nexus 7
  • Samsung Galaxy Camera (GC100)
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 (SGH- I467)
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (SGH-I497)
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (SM-T217T)
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (SM-T217A)
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 (SGH-I597)

GoPhone data plans start at $15 a month and cap out at $50 a month. The $15 plan gives customers 250MB of data, and can add an additional 100MB for $10. For $30 a month, customers will receive 3GB of data, with an extra 500MB for $10. For $50 a month, customers will get 5GB of data, with an additional 1GB running $10.

Seems a little steep when compared to T-Mobile, who gives tablet owners a free 250MB of data right from the get go. Will you tether your tablet to GoPhone, or have you already gone with T-Mobile or Verizon?
