Now that it has acquired Motorola, Lenovo has even more global ambitions. While the company is easily selling a ton of computers in the West, its mobile devices (phones and tablets) are not that popular, to say the least. Perhaps they keep the Moto brand for high-end devices selling in Europe and North America, or perhaps they just wait for the right product that would appeal to the ever demanding mobile users in the West.
Such product could easily be the Lenovo K920, which if launches in the next few weeks, could be the best phablet in the world. Specs wise, this beast rocks a 6-inch QHD (2560 x 1440), Snapdragon 801 MSM8974-AC processor clocked at 2.5 GHz, 32GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM. In addition, there’s a 16-megapixel camera on the back that is coupled with a 5-megapixel front shooter for taking picture-perfect selfies. All this comes wrapped in a fancy-lookin’ brushed aluminum body, making for a premium look and feel. Android 4.4.2 KitKat is running the show.
Unfortunately we’ve no idea whether this unit will ever make it to the Western consumer and can only hope that will be the case. Meanwhile, we expect it to hit China within the next few weeks or months; we can’t really tell…
