US Cellular’s Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and Galaxy Mega 6.3 get Android 4.4.2 updates

US Cellular has cleared Android 4.4.2 KitKat updates for two Samsung smartphones, Galaxy S4 Mini and Galaxy Mega 6.3.

This isn’t the latest available version of Google’s mobile platform, though most users can’t tell the different between Android 4.4.2 and 4.4.3. The newer version mostly fixes some small bugs, so you won’t be missing much anyway.

Aside from Google’s own updates, Samsung also included many of its own apps, tweaking stuff here and there, all in an effort to provide you with a that much improved user experience.

The new firmware is available both over the air and using Sammy’s infamous Kies desktop software. Whether you take the OTA path or prefer connecting your phone to the computer, you should make sure your battery has enough juice to keep the phone/phablet live through the end of the process. You’re best off with a full battery, but even the half will get the job done.
