Sony unveiled what it calls the world’s best selfie phone, which we would argue, isn’t something most of you should go for.
Although everyone and their mama are taking photos of themselves these days, creating a specially designed for selfies doesn’t make much sense in my book. It’s like creating a bike that is primarily made for driving around the city.
On the other hand, I may not be the right person to discuss the newly unveiled Xperia C3 as I seldom, if every take selfies. But I do look forward to the all-round flagship device that would have this sort of front camera along with other top-notch hardware.
Alas, Sony’s new phone offers many other features aside from front-facing camera, which BTW is pretty cool. It has a 5-megapixel sensor with wide-angle lens; but there are also other bells and whistles we come to expect from modern smartphones.
For instance, the C3 has a big 5.5-inch screen though with 720p HD (rather than full HD) resolution, Qualcomm’s 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera, 4G LTE connectivity and dual-SIM support, allowing folks to rely on two different networks at once.
The Sony Xperia C3 will be available in few color options, including black, white and mint at some point next month. China will be the first market to get this phablet, with other regions following soon afterwards.
