ZTE Nubia Z7 selling like hot cupcakes in China

The newly announced Nubia Z7 is selling like hot cupcakes in China, with ZTE clearing out its initial inventory in exactly 4 minutes and 36 seconds! During that short period, the company has managed to move 52,800 Z7 units, which is an impressive feat.

Then again, we’re also talking about an impressive phone, though it’s not clear whether the initial batch included only the “regular” Nubia Z7 or also its variants, Nubia Z7 Mini and Nubia Z7 Max. As you may know from our previous post, the “regular” Z7 is the best Nubia ever released, sporting top-notch specs that include a Quad HD screen (2560 x 1440 pixels), 3GB of RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core chip clocked at 2.5GHz.

Those who haven’t been able to buy the new Nubia in the first batch will soon be able to do so — ZTE has once again opened its reservation system.

As I’m writing this, we’re still not sure when this phone(s) will be available in other countries, outside of China. ZTE can rely on its home audience just as well, but their ultimate goal is to become a household name in the West. They gotta be thinking – if Japanese and Koreans have managed to do that, so can we. And with products like the new Nubia range, they are definitely onto something, or so we think. What do you say?
