The creator of Flappy Bird, Dong Nguyen is about to get a whole bunch of loot thrown at him. This Thursday, August 21st, Dong will unleash a new Flappy Bird-ish game to the Apple App Store titled Swing Copters. The game follows the same pixellated, NES era design aesthetic that helped make Flappy Bird such a success. Gameplay hasn’t changed much either, with the exception of vertical character navigation rather than horizontal. That doesn’t mean it’s a walk in the park though, you’ll have to avoid swinging hammer-thingies while flying up the levels. Swing Copters will be free to download, but it’ll cost you $0.99 if you want to get rid of those annoying ads.
