The ZenWatch was not the only device ASUS unveiled at IFA in Berlin. They also announced the MeMO Pad 7 tablet, which rocks Intel’s Atom 64-Bit quad-core 1.86GHz processor and just 1GB of RAM. Why there isn’t another gig of RAM is beyond me.

Rest of the specs include a 7-inch 1280×800 LED-backlit IPS screen with “oleophobic coating,” 8 or 16 GB expandable storage, 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, stereo speakers and a battery that should provide enough juice to keep this thing going for up to 9 hours of usage.

Size wise, the ASUS MeMO Pad 7 measures 4.47 x 7.45 x 0.37 inches (113.7 x 189.3 x 9.6 mm) and has a weight of 10oz (295g).

As part of the deal, users also get ASUS’ own Zen UI singing on top of unspecified version of Android (which we hope is KitKat), as well as few apps such as ASUS’ PixelMaster for extending photographic options and effects (Time Rewind, Image Stabilizer, Depth Of Field, Lossless Zoom, and more).

ASUS failed to say anything about the price and availability but chances are we won’t be waiting forever to get all the missing details. And it’s not like we would go for one of these, anyway. If they included 2GB of RAM and also launched some cool accessories, that would be something different…
