Just when we thought HTC has totally forgot its 8X users, the company has turned to Twitter to share the good news.
Verizon customers with HTC 8X can expect Windows Phone 8.1 update at some point in late October. Within just a month or so, these folks will get to benefit from all the enhancements included in this release of Microsoft’s mobile platform.
Meanwhile, Nokia Lumia owners are already running Windows Phone 8.1 like it’s nobody’s business, though that doesn’t come as surprise. Not only is Nokia now part of Microsoft, but what used to be Finnish company doesn’t have an alternative smartphone platform, like HTC does (Android).
Anyhow, we’re glad to see the 8X finally getting its piece of the action and are hoping this isn’t the last update it will receive.
