Samsung wants its devices to be synonymous with fancy things. So they’ve already teamed-up with Swarovski over a special version of the Gear S smart watch (and many other phones for that matter).

Like that’s not enough, now they’re “going to bad” with Diesel to launch the Gear S Diesel Black Gold edition.

Said device was introduced at the Runway Show in New York, with Diesel designing “exclusive show pieces featuring the Samsung Gear S.”

“We are committed to developing collaborations with brands that inspire fashion and empower people to express their personal style,” said Younghee Lee, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing, IT & Mobile Division at Samsung. “Our partnership with Diesel Black Gold is very crucial as it further showcases the union of fashion and technology, and the way in which wearable devices continue to become more intertwined in daily life.”

Diesel Black Gold’s team came up with an entire collection of Gear S watches, coming with different details, sizes and colors. Touting the label’s signature leather and metal details, these devices have been inspired by highly stylized New Wave rock stars and “tough rockabilly heroines.”

I find the end-result looking kinda weird, but then again – I’m not a fan of Diesel. Then again, I’m sure some folks will love these units. What do you think?
