RedMagic has officially launched its 11s Pro gaming smartphone series in China, pushing the boundaries of mobile gaming performance. The new lineup includes two models – the 11s Pro and 11s Pro+ – both targeting serious mobile gamers with high-end specifications and advanced cooling systems.
This launch comes as gaming phones continue to carve out a larger niche in the smartphone market. With mobile gaming revenue surpassing console and PC gaming combined, manufacturers are investing heavily in specialized hardware that can handle demanding games while maintaining comfortable temperatures during extended play sessions.
Display and design built for gaming
The RedMagic 11s Pro series sports a 6.85-inch 1.5K OLED display with no camera cutouts, achieving a 95.3% screen-to-body ratio. The screen supports up to 144Hz refresh rates and uses BOE’s X10 under-display technology, which RedMagic claims reduces power consumption by 10% while extending panel lifespan by 30%.
Key display features include:
- 16MP under-display front camera for uninterrupted gaming
- 3000Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate
- 360Hz multi-finger touch sampling
- 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor
- Up to 2000 nits peak brightness
The phones come in four color options: Deuterium Transparent Silver Wing, Deuterium Transparent Dark Night, Dark Knight, and Silver Wing Warrior.
Performance powered by latest Snapdragon chip
At the heart of both devices sits Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Edition processor, clocked at up to 4.74GHz. RedMagic also includes its custom Redcore R4 gaming chip, which handles touch optimization, lighting effects, and rendering acceleration.
The phones support direct Steam game streaming, allowing users to play PC games on their mobile device. This feature addresses the growing demand for cross-platform gaming experiences and could help gaming phones compete more directly with handheld gaming devices like the Steam Deck.
Revolutionary cooling system tackles heat issues
Perhaps the most interesting innovation is RedMagic’s hybrid cooling approach, combining both air and liquid cooling in a smartphone form factor. The Wind Chaser 4.0 fan spins at up to 24,000 rpm while maintaining noise levels below 30dB and carrying an IPX8 waterproof rating.
The liquid cooling system uses fluorinated coolant similar to what’s found in AI servers, circulated by a piezoelectric micro-pump through custom channels. This addresses one of mobile gaming’s biggest challenges – thermal throttling that reduces performance during intense gaming sessions.
Battery life designed for marathon gaming
The standard 11s Pro packs an 8000mAh battery, which RedMagic calls its largest ever. The Pro+ model reduces capacity slightly to 7500mAh but adds faster charging options:
- 11s Pro: 8000mAh battery, 80W wired charging
- 11s Pro+: 7500mAh battery, 120W wired charging, 80W wireless charging
Both phones include 50MP dual rear cameras with AI-powered editing features, though camera performance typically isn’t the primary focus for gaming-oriented devices.
Pricing and availability
The RedMagic 11s Pro starts at 5,499 yuan ($807) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model. The Pro+ begins at 6,199 yuan ($910) for the same configuration, with higher-spec models available up to 7,999 yuan ($1,174) for 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
The phones are already available in China, with global availability details set to be announced on May 27, 2026. RedMagic also teased a gaming tablet launch for June in China, which will arrive globally as the RedMagic Astra 2 Gaming Tablet.
