Samsung continues to expand access to its One UI 9.0 beta program for Galaxy S26 series devices. The company has now launched the beta testing program in India, following earlier rollouts in South Korea, the UK, and the US.

The move signals Samsung’s commitment to gathering feedback from diverse global markets before the stable release. One UI 9.0, based on Android 17, represents Samsung’s latest software experience for Galaxy devices and includes significant updates to system performance and user interface elements.

The Indian beta release comes as firmware version S94xBXXU2ZZEQ and weighs 3,760.28MB. This matches the second beta version already available in other markets, ensuring consistent testing across regions. The update also includes the June 2026 security patch for enhanced device protection.

Samsung has addressed several key issues in this beta version that will improve the overall user experience:

  • Fixed GPUWatch stop popup errors that were interrupting users
  • Resolved routine app functionality problems under specific conditions
  • Corrected status bar display errors
  • Fixed lock screen clock font changes not reflecting with LockStar installed
  • Reduced system lag during bulk message deletion
  • Prevented lock screen clock from gradually sliding down
  • Corrected game booster entry point setting errors

The expansion to India makes sense given the country’s position as one of Samsung’s largest smartphone markets globally. Indian users often provide valuable feedback on software performance across different network conditions and usage patterns, which helps Samsung refine the software before wider release.

Galaxy S26 users in India can join the beta program through the Samsung Members app. The process involves finding the beta program banner, registering for participation, then downloading the update through Settings > Software update > Download and install.

Beta programs like this help Samsung identify bugs and performance issues before rolling out stable updates to millions of devices worldwide. The feedback from beta testers typically influences final software optimizations and feature adjustments. Given that One UI 9.0 is based on Android 17, Samsung is likely working to ensure compatibility across its extensive device portfolio while maintaining its signature user experience enhancements.
