Honor has launched its latest gaming smartphone, the Win Turbo, targeting mobile gaming enthusiasts with impressive specifications and a massive battery. The device joins Honor’s growing gaming phone lineup with notable performance improvements and a refined design.

The Win Turbo combines flagship-level display technology with a dedicated gaming chipset and enhanced thermal management. This launch signals Honor’s continued push into the competitive gaming phone market, where battery life and performance consistency matter most to users.

Design and display focus on gaming performance

The Win Turbo sports a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with 2640 x 1200 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The screen supports 1.07 billion colors, DCI-P3 color gamut, and reaches up to 8,000 nits peak brightness for outdoor visibility. Honor includes AI True Color Display technology for optimized viewing.

The phone measures 162.1mm x 76.3mm x 7.98mm and weighs 216 grams including the battery. Honor offers three color options:

  • Guaranteed Win White
  • No Fear Blue Buff
  • Let’s Team Up Black

The rear camera setup follows the original Win series design with two vertically arranged lenses in a pill-shaped module, plus LED flash.

Dimensity 8500 Racing Edition powers gaming experience

Honor equipped the Win Turbo with MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Racing Edition chipset, specifically tuned for gaming performance. The octa-core processor configuration includes:

  • 1 x Cortex-A725 core at 3.4GHz
  • 3 x Cortex-A725 cores at 3.2GHz
  • 4 x Cortex-A725 cores at 2.2GHz
  • Titan MC8 GPU

The device runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. Honor includes its Hongyan six-wing antenna system with signal island and parallel dual-track antenna design, delivering 200% signal enhancement and 70% improved Wi-Fi performance in weak network conditions.

Enhanced connectivity and positioning accuracy

The improved antenna system provides more precise location services with measurable improvements:

  • 26% better pedestrian navigation accuracy
  • 29% higher success rate for underground parking garage exit planning
  • 78% improved taxi location accuracy

These enhancements address common pain points for mobile users who rely on GPS navigation and location-based services throughout the day.

Thermal management and durability features

Honor implemented an advanced cooling system with 90% improved graphite performance and a dual-pump vapor chamber setup that increases thermal performance by 20%. Laser engraving technology reduces chip temperatures by 1°C during intensive use.

The Win Turbo carries an IP69K rating for water and dust resistance. Honor claims the device can withstand:

  • 18 days of rain exposure
  • 6 meters underwater submersion
  • 85°C high-temperature water exposure
  • 20 minutes underwater for 10,000 cycles

Camera setup and AI features

The camera system includes a 50MP main sensor paired with a 5MP ultrawide lens on the rear, plus a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Additional AI features include Outdoor Mode for enhanced visibility and performance in bright conditions, anti-fraud calling protection, and various YOYO assistant functions for improved user experience.

Massive battery with fast charging capabilities

The standout feature is the 10,000mAh lithium-ion battery, significantly larger than most smartphones. Honor includes 80W wired charging and 27W reverse charging capabilities. The separation technology allows simultaneous charging and gaming without performance throttling.

Honor claims the following battery performance:

  • 17.3 hours of GPS navigation
  • 14.2 hours of continuous gaming
  • 22 hours of short video browsing
  • 26.3 hours of long video playback

Pricing and availability

Honor offers three Win Turbo configurations with the following pricing in China:

  • 12GB + 256GB: 2,699 yuan ($375)
  • 12GB + 512GB: 2,999 yuan ($415)
  • 16GB + 512GB: 3,599 yuan ($500)

The competitive pricing positions the Win Turbo as an accessible gaming phone option compared to premium flagship devices, while still offering specialized gaming features and exceptional battery life that mobile gaming enthusiasts demand.
