POCO M8 Power is here, and it’s coming for your wallet

Budget phones keep getting harder to dismiss. POCO just announced the M8 Power, and if the specs hold up in real life, this thing could be one of the more compelling mid-range options of the year. Two variants, a massive battery, and an aggressive price point. POCO knows exactly who it’s selling to.

Two options, not just one

The M8 Power comes in two configurations, which is a smart move. Not everyone needs the same amount of storage or RAM, and giving buyers a choice without forcing them into a single overpriced SKU shows POCO actually thought this through. Sales kick off on August 7, so the wait isn’t long at all.

POCO has been quietly building a reputation for punching above its price class. The M-series in particular targets users who want real battery life and a decent screen without spending flagship money. The M8 Power fits that pattern well.

What you’re actually getting

The M8 Power is built around a few key priorities. Here’s what stands out about the device:

  • A large battery designed to last well beyond a single day
  • Two storage and RAM variants to suit different budgets
  • A display spec that holds its own at this price tier
  • POCO’s typically clean software experience on top of Android

Now, POCO has been known to lean on spec sheets harder than actual software polish, so that’s worth watching once reviews start rolling in. The numbers look good on paper. But paper and pocket are two different things.

Why this matters beyond the specs

The budget Android space is crowded right now. Brands like Redmi, Realme, and Samsung’s A-series are all fighting for the same buyers. POCO’s edge has always been raw value, and the M8 Power looks like another attempt to keep that edge sharp.

If you’re shopping for a phone under a certain price and battery life is your top priority, this one deserves a serious look. But wait for independent tests before you click buy. Marketing specs and real-world performance don’t always agree.
