On the camera side, the POVA 8 Pro runs a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with OIS, which is a solid inclusion at this price tier since optical image stabilization makes a real difference for video and low-light shots. It’s paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. Up front, you get a 13-megapixel selfie camera for video calls and photos.
The bigger picture here is that Tecno is clearly trying to carve out a lane in India’s crowded mid-range market by leading with design identity rather than raw specs. It’s a smart play. When every phone at a given price point has roughly the same chipset and camera numbers, standing out visually is one of the few ways to actually get people talking.
