iQOO Z11xa 5G is here, and it’s all about that massive battery

Seven thousand two hundred milliamp hours. That’s the number iQOO wants you to remember about the Z11xa 5G, and honestly, it’s a pretty good number to lead with. The phone was quietly launched as the fourth member of the Z11 family in India, joining the Z11x, Z11 Lite, and Z11. And while it’s essentially a variant of the Z11x with a different memory configuration, the battery story alone makes it worth paying attention to.

So let’s talk about that battery. The 7,200mAh cell comes with 44W FlashCharge support, and iQOO claims just 10 minutes on the charger can give you up to six hours of calling time. That’s a bold claim, but iQOO also says the battery holds at least 80% of its capacity after 1,600 full charging cycles. For context, most phones degrade noticeably well before that mark. It also supports bypass charging, reverse charging, and battery protection features, which rounds out a pretty complete package for power users.

On the camera side, you get a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 as the main shooter, backed by a 2-megapixel bokeh sensor. The IMX852 is a solid sensor that shows up in mid-range phones doing real work, not just filling a spec sheet. For selfies, there’s a 32-megapixel front camera, and both the front and rear cameras support 4K video recording. That front-facing 4K capability is still not a given at this price tier, so it’s a genuine differentiator.

Connectivity covers the basics well. Dual SIM 5G, Wi-Fi on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB Type-C are all present. The phone also has stereo speakers and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. But the spec that might matter most to a lot of buyers is the IP68 and IP69+ rating for dust and water resistance. IP69+ means it can handle high-pressure, high-temperature water jets, which goes well beyond the usual splash resistance you get at this segment.

Why does this matter? India’s mid-range smartphone market is one of the most competitive in the world, and battery life is consistently one of the top concerns for buyers there. A 7,200mAh battery with fast charging and long-term durability guarantees is a direct answer to that demand. iQOO has been building credibility in India as a brand that punches above its price point, and the Z11 series is a big part of that strategy.

Here’s a quick look at what the Z11xa 5G brings to the table:

  • 7,200mAh battery with 44W FlashCharge and bypass/reverse charging
  • 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera with 4K video on front and rear
  • 32MP front camera
  • IP68 and IP69+ dust and water resistance
  • Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C
  • Stereo speakers and side-mounted fingerprint sensor

Pricing and exact availability details are still to be confirmed, but given where the rest of the Z11 lineup sits, expect this one to target the sweet spot in the mid-range. If iQOO prices it right, the Z11xa could be one of the more compelling battery-first phones of the year in India.
