According to SamMobile, the One UI 9.0 Beta 2 update brings four new AI-powered features to the S24 lineup alongside the usual bug fixes and stability improvements. Here’s what’s actually in the package:
- Call Brief — shows relevant info about your caller right on screen before and during the call, so you’re not scrambling to remember context mid-conversation.
- My FanCam — tracks a specific person in an existing video and auto-crops the footage to follow them. Debuted on the Z Flip 8 and Z Fold 8, and it’s genuinely useful if you’ve ever tried to pick your kid out of a crowded school recital video.
- Custom Cards in Now Brief — pulls data from Samsung Health, Samsung Weather, and your YouTube preferences into one consolidated card, which you can schedule to appear at specific times on specific days.
- Now Nudge — reads on-screen context and surfaces relevant info like calendar events, app shortcuts, Google Maps suggestions, and autofill prompts before you even think to ask.
Now Nudge is the one to watch. Proactive AI that actually understands what’s on your screen and responds to it is where the whole industry is trying to go right now. Whether Samsung’s version delivers consistently or just shows up randomly is something beta testers will figure out over the coming weeks. But the ambition is right.
It’s also worth pointing out that the Galaxy S25 series got these same features just last week through its own One UI 9.0 beta. So Samsung is rolling this out in a clear, structured wave rather than making S24 owners wait months or forget about them entirely. That’s a good sign for how the company is managing its AI rollout across its broader lineup.
