Galaxy AI that pays attention
One UI 9 brings an updated Now Brief, which gives you personalised briefing cards covering weather, wellness, and other context-aware info. You can build your own cards with a simple prompt. The Nudge feature pushes relevant suggestions throughout the day based on what’s happening in your notifications and apps, including third-party ones.
Circle to Search with Google has been updated too. You can now search for multiple items at once in a single gesture, so identifying products, places, or objects in a photo is faster than before. It’s a small change that adds up quickly in daily use.
The display and processor holding it together
The 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display runs at up to 120Hz with peak brightness hitting 1,900 nits. So it handles direct sunlight, gaming, and streaming without complaint. Under the hood is the Exynos 2500, built on a 3nm process. It’s a capable chip with solid AI processing built in, and it comes with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes.
Seven years of software support is the real headline
This matters more than most people realise. Samsung is committing to seven OS upgrades and seven years of security updates from the global launch date. At this price, that’s a compelling reason to choose this phone over a competitor that might offer two or three years of support and then leave you stranded. It means a phone you buy today should still feel current well into the early 2030s.
