Honor Watch 6 Pro is here, and it’s serious about your heart health

Blood pressure monitoring on a smartwatch is still a feature most brands get wrong. Honor thinks it’s cracked it. The company unveiled the Watch 6 Pro on September 28, positioning it as the go-to wearable for serious heart health tracking, and the spec sheet backs that claim up in a way that’s hard to ignore.

The Watch 6 Pro launched alongside the Magic 9 smartphone series, which tells you something about how Honor sees this device. It’s not an afterthought accessory. It’s a flagship product in its own right, designed to sit alongside a premium phone and not look out of place doing it.

Let’s talk about the design first, because Honor actually made some interesting choices here. The watch comes in five color options, including a Ceramic White finish that looks genuinely premium, not the plasticky fake-ceramic you sometimes see at this price point. The case uses titanium, which keeps weight down while adding real durability. This is the kind of material choice that used to be reserved for watches that cost three times as much.

But the real story is what’s happening under the hood. The Watch 6 Pro is built around blood pressure and cardiovascular monitoring, with Honor claiming improved sensor accuracy over previous generations. That matters because blood pressure tracking on wearables has historically been unreliable enough that doctors largely dismissed it. If Honor has genuinely moved the needle on accuracy here, that’s a big deal for anyone managing hypertension or keeping tabs on their cardiovascular health between doctor visits.

The health features on the Watch 6 Pro include:

  • Blood pressure monitoring with improved sensor accuracy
  • Heart rate tracking with continuous monitoring
  • Blood oxygen (SpO2) measurement
  • ECG functionality for detecting irregular heart rhythms
  • Sleep tracking with detailed health scoring

Beyond the health stuff, you’re getting a smartwatch that handles the basics well. GPS is on board, battery life is competitive for the category, and the watch connects cleanly with Honor’s health app ecosystem. Nothing shocking there, but solid across the board.

Pricing sits at an accessible level for what’s being offered, which is part of why this launch is worth paying attention to. Premium health wearables from Apple and Samsung can push deep into flagship phone price territory. Honor is betting that a lot of health-conscious consumers would rather spend less and still get accurate, meaningful data.

This fits a clear trend in the wearables market right now. Consumers are increasingly buying smartwatches not for notifications or fitness step counts, but for genuine health insights. Blood pressure tracking is the next big battleground, and brands that get the accuracy right early will have a real advantage as that expectation becomes standard.

So does Honor’s Watch 6 Pro deliver on its health-first promise? The positioning is smart, the hardware choices are thoughtful, and the price is right. That’s a strong foundation. Real-world testing will tell us whether the blood pressure monitoring is accurate enough to matter, and that’s the only question that counts.
