The Signal Podcast #27: Magic in Canada and TeleNav Giveaway

Magic is in the air up north, and so is swine flu.

Simon’s back after a nasty run-in with a non-pork-related flu, and managed to rally in time to go to the Rogers’ HTC Magic and Dream launch event in Toronto. Android sure took its sweet time coming to Canada, so Will and I speculate a bit on the timing and iPhone considerations, but lots of other news went down over the last two weeks. AT&T’s ’09 lineup got completely spilled, and we run down some of the new handsets, like the BlackBerry Magnum and some frumpy-looking Nokias. Of course, the Palm Pre launches tomorrow on Sprint, and we take one last stab at how the stock situation will affect the launch, as well as consider some of the early reviews.

This week we’re giving away a year’s worth of TeleNav mobile navigation service to three lucky commenters from the U.S. – drop a line for your chance to win! Hit the jump for a full two weeks’ worth of mobile news.

Music by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, as featured on Tap Tap Revenge for the iPhone.
