By now everyone realizes that iPhone/iPod Touch is a powerful gaming platform. That’s why we were not surprised to see a number of classic games being ported to the Apple’s mobile platform.
Next in line is Rick Dangerous, the famous character from the good ol’ days of Commodore 64 and Amiga.
If you haven’t played Rick, you’re either too young or too old. It’s a classic platform game, which sees you leading an Indiana Jones-like character through a number of levels. As far as I can recall — and you bet your ass I played Rick Dangerous a lot — it was everything but an easy game. Quite the contrary, I’ve spent hours and hours trying to solve some levels, trying to find my way through the Ancient Egypt, the Amazon and some Nazi strongholds.
As there’s no D-pad on the iPhone/iPod Touch, you’ll see controls on the screen. At first it may feel weird for the old-school Rick fans, but after some time, it’s not a big deal as long as you make it to the next level. 😉
