DDH Software, Inc. announced that a new version of its HanDBase relational database application is now available to owners of Symbian S60 3rd Edition handsets. The application comes with a desktop version that enables users to create and manage their information before transferring the data to their mobile devices for anytime/anywhere access and data entry.
Since it was first introduced in 1998, HanDBase has enabled owners of Palm OS, Windows Mobile, and Symbian S60 handhelds to take their most vital information with them while on-the-go, earning numerous awards along the way. HanDBase allows mobile device users to store volumes of data that can be easily viewed, edited, filtered, sorted, and searched whenever the data is needed. Now, users of S60 3rd edition devices can create their own custom database programs for both personal and business purposes and never be without access to the information they need.
The HanDBase Desktop application allows users to design their own databases from scratch or start from any of the thousands of free applets available at DDH Software’s site – all of which have been created and submitted by HanDBase users. Beyond its full-featured editing and design capabilities, HanDBase Desktop allows users to export files in Excel, Word, CSV, HTML or XML formats. Additional add-ons support transfer to and from Microsoft Access and other ODBC enabled database applications.
HanDBase for S60 3rd Edition retails for $19.99 and is available at the company’s Web site.
