Could it be? Well, it certainly looks like it. Simon reported on this rumor a little while ago, and now some juicy details have leaked out thanks to the good folks at Rogers. An iPhone 3G vs. iPhone 3GS comparison chart on the Rogers Wireless website appears to have spilled the beans as you can see in a portion of the chart I’ve included above. An 8GB model of the iPhone 3GS? You don’t say!
Of course, there’s no way to know yet if this was a simple error, or if the details are true. However, if this is the real deal, expect the 8GB iPhone 3GS to come in at a very, VERY attractive price point for mobile consumers. How does $99 sound? One has to figure that’d be the going rate, although no pricing or release dates have been found.
No other details have been found for other countries either… Oh, wouldn’t that be sweet if the 8GB 3GS launched for Canadians only? Finally, Canadians get first crack at something! 😛
