The wait for the next-gen Samsung Omnia II is almost over! In fact, Boy Genius Report believes that much of Verizon’s Omnia II inventory is stacked up and ready to go. And, according to Samsung Mobile USA’s website (screenshot above), the Omnia II will be “coming soon exclusively at Verizon Wireless.” All signs point to a very near-term release of the Omnia successor.

Like any good smartphone successor, the Omnia II packs a bigger punch than its forebear – in this case, with a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen (badass!), tri-band HSPA (900/1900/2100 MHz), WiFi, GPS, 5 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, and 800 MHz ARM processor. Thankfully, the Windows Mobile underpinnings will be hidden under Samsung’s TouchWIZ UI.
