Although we haven’t covered Proloquo2Go when it was initially released in the AppStore, we think it’s an important application, hence we’re covering it now, when an updated version is available. Proloquo2Go is an important app because it’s the first consumer device-based communication solution for people who cannot speak. That by itself should be newsworthy! And now that it has been updated, that’s one more reason to cover it. Version 1.1 adds British voices, voice personalization and “other innovative features,” which we’re not sure what they are exactly. The application costs $189.99 and that’s like nothing compared to some other solutions which cost $2,500 and more.
