New App: Netsuite does ERP

Netsuite has announced a new, free app for the iPhone and iPod touch, available on the Apple App Store. This is the very first cloud computing mobile enterprise resource planning (ERP) app available in the App store which means that for the first time, businesses can run their financials on their iPhones.
Everyone knows an ERP system contains the kind of information that’s the lifeblood of the business – financials, orders, inventory, billing information and more – it’s the kind of data that, if its readily available, can make a material impact to the business. By combining NetSuite’s real time visibility, together with the iPhone’s intuitive ease of use, NetSuite users get instant visibility to their KPIs, orders and more right there on their dashboards. This is key information that’s needed during any prospect call, business meeting, or anywhere on the go, which is a huge competitive advantage.

It does look like a really good App – my only possible thought would be that you’d have to be an enterprise user of their existing software to make use of the free App – great for those readers that use Netsuite, but perhaps no much for the rest of us? Maybe they’ll do some kind of web-hosted solution for personal users that we can hook up to at some point? That would be cool 🙂

You can find out more about the App, and get it (obviously), from the Apple App store.
