Jaiku is the Finnish version of Twitter, except smarter. Ken Camp takes a look at the invite only beta version of the S60 Jaiku client and it is definitely shaping up to be the most advanced microblogging platform out there. What I like is the ability to import rss feeds of all the other social services you may be using and have it show up for all your friends. That is hands down the coolest thing I’ve seen yet and I’m going to make an account once this beta is available to the public.
Seriously, think about it for a second. You and your friends use Jaiku and you all setup whatever RSS feeds you want: blogs, flickr, blip, etc. When anyone adds anything to any of these separate services everyone gets notified. It is the mobile version of Facebook’s newsfeed.
Yes I know Twitter has the aggregating features of Jaiku already, but it certainly isn’t easy to setup. I don’t want to wait for someone to use the Twitter API, I just want to add RSS feeds at my discretion.
