Avenir Telecom, the UK’s leading distributor in mobile telecoms, announced record-breaking results in business landline sales. In October 2009, Avenir Telecom and its dealer base sold more fixed landlines on the O2 network than any other distributor.
Earlier this year, Avenir became the first distributor to partner with O2 to launch ‘Joined Up’, an innovative new service enabling UK businesses to converge their mobile and fixed-line telecoms.
“The cost savings this delivers are considerable” explains Avenir Telecom’s Managing Director, Andy Tow, “especially if the customer also uses O2 mobiles. “The whole of my team is committed to this brilliant opportunity, and we’re proud to have demonstrable results in business landline sales to add to our credentials in mobile airtime, accessories and IT/telecoms convergence solutions.”
Further evidence that O2 are going after the SME segment, both directly and indirectly, very aggressively. There’s a lot of money in the SMEs, and it seems like O2 and Avenir are making good inroads in to them, judging by their announcement.
