Indonesia’s Telkomsel is set to launch iPhone 3GS on late January 2010, according to our friends over at Gajeto.com.
Frustratingly for people living in Indonesia, the launch of devices like the iPhone 3G and 3GS have been quite slow to market – lagging around 9 months on their original launch date(s) elsewhere. Pricing also isn’t available yet, which I’m guessing isn’t making people any happier also!
We’re told that the sell-through price to clear stocks of the iPhone 3G (to make way for it’s bigger, badder, brother) isn’t too cheap either:
The current “clearance price” of iPhone 3G 16GB is IDR7.5 million (US$750), that include 12-months 500MB data package (worth IDR125,000 or around US$12 per month).
Anyhoo, it’s not too long until the New Year rolls round now, so hopefully there will be some happy people queueing in line to get their hands on the first 3GSs in the country, in the next couple of weeks!
