Nokia’s N900 is one of the few handsets to work on wind Mobile’s AWS bands (1700/2100, same as T-Mobile), and although it was absent from their inaugural lineup, wind has promised it will be coming early this year. wind faces an uphill battle as the newest player in the Canadian telecom industry, but neither Rogers nor Bell nor telus have been able to snag the N900, which could (when combined with wind‘s nationally-exclusive unlimited data plan) win the hearts and minds of the tech-savvy. Having used the N900 for the last couple of weeks, I could see it filling a significant (if specific) niche and give a much-needed edge versus the entrenched competition.
