LAS VEGAS – January 7, 2010 – Slacker, Inc. today announced the coming addition of ABC News to the Slacker Personal Radio experience providing listeners with updated news from one of the nation’s most trusted sources. Slacker listeners will have access to a dedicated news station covering national, world, sports, politics, entertainment, business and tech as well as the option to include headline news for top of the hour updates on any Slacker music station.

Diane Sawyer, George Stephanopoulos and other top names in journalism will give an ongoing, in-depth look into current issues from around the world. Slacker will also feature segments from highly rated and critically acclaimed programs, including “Good Morning America” anchored by Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Juju Chang and Sam Champion, “Nightline” anchored by Terry Moran, Cynthia McFadden and Martin Bashir and more.

“ABC News is proud to partner with Slacker in extending our high-quality content to the growing Slacker audience,” said Steve Jones, vice president and general manager, ABC News Radio. “Under this new agreement, the Slacker audience can hear audio reports on demand from the most recognized and respected names in news.”

“??Slacker Personal Radio, available online at http://www.Slacker.com, enables listeners to create their own Personal Radio stations based on any artist or mix of artists, or listen to and personalize over 120 expert-programmed genre stations ranging from Alternative Rock to Comedy and everything in between. Personalization options include rating songs or artists, playing more popular vs. more eclectic music and listening to newer vs. classic songs.

Whether listening on the web, BlackBerry smartphone, iPhone, Android-powered smartphone, iPod touch or a Slacker-enabled TV or Blu-ray player, Slacker listeners now have instant access to ABC News along with their favorite music, artist profiles, album reviews and album cover art.
