Provider of traffic and navigation services INRIX released the “Pro” version of its INRIX Traffic! free group texting app with much more features to help commuters get their way around the traffic faster. Here are the highlights:
- Best time to leave and expected time of arrival
- Drive and record favorite routes and/or save frequent destinations
- Predictive traffic – INRIX analyzes current traffic conditions, holidays, accidents and road construction, as well as other local variables to forecast anticipated traffic in 15 minute increments.
- Traffic incidents and cameras – enabled through INRIX’s partnership with ClearChannel’s Total Traffic Network.
In addition, INRIX Traffic! Pro supports real-time crowd-sourced traffic information from more than 1.5 million vehicles and mobile devices, covering more than 260,000 miles of roadways across the U.S. and Canada.
Interested? INRIX Traffic! Pro should be available for $9.99 for one year and $24.99 lifetime from the AppStore. At the moment of this writing, though, I couldn’t find the app in iTunes. And since INRIX has already released an Android app, it’s fair to argue Android Market will be blessed with the “Pro” version in no time.
