Quickr, an enterprise-grade file-sharing tool from IBM, has been on its way to BlackBerry since last year, and is now ready for primetime. Basically, Quickr allows project collaboration with secure mobile document access – naturally, the BlackBerry client has been optimized for quick access to favourite folders or files, and simple navigation through folder hierarchies. It plugs in nicely with the preloaded Documents to Go, so users can view and edit the full-fidelity files locally on the device, and documents can easily be sent via the robust e-mail client. While editing, documents are shown as “checked out”, so you don’t get those frustrating situations where a bunch of people are making overlapping changes at the same time, and it’s anybody’s guess as to what sticks. With the help of an updated Connections app, Lotus-users will also be able to hook up with others within their corporation with the exact expertise they need for any given project even more easily than before.

For a closer look at Quickr, a video demo, and the rest of RIM’s Lotus products, hit up their landing page here.
