Here’s a great app for iPhone-ownin’ home owners (or renters) who are looking to change their floor. A company called Lumber Liquidators — which BTW is the largest specialty retailer of hardwood flooring in U.S. — has unveiled a free application called Floor Finder, which provides users with access to nearly 200 digital samples right from their phone or an iPod Touch. In addition, users can also learn about flooring specs such as hardness, species and installation info; and/or use the ever handy “click to call” option (for iPhone users, only) to find the lowest price. Moreover, there’s the “Materials Calculator,” which determines how much product is needed, including a waste factor.
Finally, using the “Customer Brag,” you can check Lumber Liquidators’ existing customers’ floors to get some ideas, or submit your floor as an example for other folks. And if your photos are selected to be featured in the Brag area, you will receive a free Bellawood Floor Care Kit from the company.
