
I wrote a post the other day on Vodafone UK’s iPhone pre-order stats – which to be fair perhaps wasn’t as clear as it could have been – I blame that on duff info I cam across, but then a bad workman blames his tools blah blah blah …
Anyway, VFUK have been in contact (thanks Dan B!) and let me have the exact quote they gave:
“Vodafone UK CEO Guy Laurence confirmed that it would be delivering over 50,000 iPhones to customers on its first day of selling the device. He said the main reason for the exceptional demand was customers wanting to use the phone on its outstanding network.”
And to be clear, these 50K+ devices were pre-orders – nothing to do with sales on the first (or subsequent) days – more on that soon enough 🙂
