Remember this bad boy? Will wrote a post (and logged a video) from his time at CES, where Parrot were showing off their AR Drone, controlled by the iPhone. This multi-rotor ‘copter is the latest and greatest thing in awesomeness, and despite being a bit on the dear side, is … well … awesome. If you don’t believe me, check out the post from Will here.
Anyway, I digress. Maximobileshop.com have released an accessory for the accessory, which is basically a joypad-like controller that the iPhone sits inside – making the accelerometer-based control from the iPhone much easier to control, I’d imagine:
The iHandstick, as it’s called, looks to be loosely modelled on some of the fave game console controllers of yesterday, but with important difference that you can mount an iPhone, or iPod Touch, inside it. And not just a particular generation of iPhone either – there are various mounts to ensure compatibility.
Personally, I think if you’ve spent the Moolah on the Drone, you would HAVE to get this, to make the control system lovely and balanced to use. But that’s just my opinion 🙂
You can get the iHandstick, plus a whole ton of other cool accessories, from Maximobileshop.com.
