If you’re using Nokia S60-based smartphone with built-in WiFi, you’re probably already familiar with Fring. Basically, it’s the application that allows you to use Skype on your Symbian smartphone.
Last month, we saw Fring entering the Windows Mobile market, and now they’re releasing the UIQ 3 version of their popular app. What this means is that Sony Ericsson P990i owners will be able to make free and cheap VoIP phone calls — the M600i and W950i just don’t have what it takes – aka WiFi. Anyway, in order to start using the Fring on your P990i you’ll need the latest firmware, Fring’s audio plugin, and to download the app itself. See, that wasn’t that hard — you’re ready to save some cash on phone calls!
Idea for Sony Ericsson – pre-install Fring on the upcoming P1i and W960i models!
