We may not see any new Nokia smartphone being announced during the MWC, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have any news. In addition to their MeeGo announcement, the Finnish giant used the event to share some cool numbers on their services. Here’s what we got:

  • Ovi Maps: More than 3 million downloads to date / around 100,000 a day
  • Music: Comes With Music (CWM) now lives in 27 markets with average user downloading 500 free songs in the first few weeks of using the service; Ovi Music lives in 33 markets, and its catalog has more than nine million tracks.
  • Ovi Store: More than one million downloads a day with the number of people shopping on the store doubling every month; Nokia’s app store is localized in 18 countries supporting 30 languages to serve 90% of Store visitors with their local language; Integrated mobile billing from 60 operators in 18 countries.
  • Messaging: A million people a month open an Ovi Mail account; Nokia Messaging push email service is now signed up with over 70 operators.
  • Nokia Money: A commercial pilot of the global mobile financial services initiative has started in Pune, India.
  • Nokia Life Tools: Since its launch in mid-2009, around one million people have already subscribed to the service, which BTW is available in India and Indonesia, and will roll out to more markets this year.

That’s it. We’ll keep reporting on Nokia services as soon as we hear something new. Stay tuned…
